BUFFER
[ Overview ]

Boilte Buffer – the tank that returns condensate to the steam cycle

Condensate coming back from steam consumers is already treated and hot water. Dumping it to the drain means paying twice — for water treatment, chemicals and the fuel to heat it again. The Boilte Buffer tank collects condensate from all lines, evens out its temperature and feeds it to the deaerator or straight into the feed line.

The shell is made of AISI 304 stainless steel, because condensate is aggressive to carbon steel due to dissolved carbon dioxide. The range includes seven sizes from 0.2 to 5 m³, covering everything from a small process boiler house to a large plant.

[ Advantages ]

Why choose BUFFER

01

AISI 304 stainless steel

Resists the carbonic acid corrosion typical of condensate lines.

02

Fuel and water savings

Returning hot condensate cuts make-up water, chemicals and gas consumption.

03

7 sizes

Volume from 0.2 to 5 m³ — for boiler houses of any scale.

04

Buffer for the deaerator

Smooths uneven condensate return and stabilises boiler feeding.

05

24-month warranty

Factory warranty on tanks, subject to correct installation and operation.

06

Ready for piping

Nozzles for condensate inlet, overflow, drain and outlet to the feed pumps.

[ FAQ ]

Frequently asked

Why is the tank made of stainless steel?

Condensate carries dissolved carbon dioxide, which quickly attacks carbon steel. AISI 304 resists this corrosion and keeps oxidation products out of the feed water.

Which volume should I choose?

The volume depends on how much condensate returns and how unevenly it arrives. An engineer will calculate the right size for your steam distribution scheme.

Where does condensate go from the tank?

Usually to the deaerator, where dissolved gases are stripped out before the water reaches the boiler feed pumps.

What is the warranty on the tank?

24 months, subject to correct installation and operation.
